The WhatsApp Business API lets a business use WhatsApp with a team, automation and other software. BelloSend runs on Meta's official WhatsApp Business Platform, the Cloud API hosted by Meta. This page explains how to connect, how Coexistence works and what it costs.
What is the WhatsApp Business API?
WhatsApp offers two tools for businesses. The WhatsApp Business app is a phone app for one person or a small shop. The WhatsApp Business Platform, often called the WhatsApp Business API, is for software: it lets many agents answer from one number, send approved templates at scale, run chatbots and connect to other systems.
Meta hosts the API itself, as the Cloud API. You need software on top to use it day to day. BelloSend is that software: a shared inbox, contacts, templates, campaigns, chatbot and analytics connected to your number through the official API. BelloCloud LLC is verified by Meta as a Tech Provider.
How to connect the WhatsApp Business API
Choose a setup
Use Meta Embedded Signup inside BelloSend, or enter your Cloud API details manually if your business already manages its WhatsApp assets in Meta.
Authorize your business assets
Log in with Facebook, pick or create your business portfolio and WhatsApp Business Account, and verify the phone number.
Sync templates and invite your team
Your approved templates sync into BelloSend. Invite users, set roles and start answering.
Coexistence: keep the WhatsApp Business app
With Coexistence, an eligible number can keep using the WhatsApp Business app on the phone while the same number is connected to the Cloud API. Meta decides eligibility during onboarding. If you choose a Direct Cloud API setup instead, the mobile app is disconnected for that number.

Why the total cost is predictable
BelloSend adds nothing on top of Meta's rates. You pay Meta for the template messages you send, and you pay BelloSend one plan price. Frequently asked questions
Is the WhatsApp Business API free?
Access to the Cloud API has no fee from Meta, but Meta charges for template messages by category and country. Service replies in the 24-hour window are charged too since 1 October 2026, after 1,000 free ones per number each month. You also need software such as BelloSend, which has a monthly plan.
Is BelloSend a Meta Business Partner or BSP?
No. BelloSend uses the official Cloud API, and BelloCloud LLC is verified by Meta as a Tech Provider.
Can I use my existing number?
Usually yes. With Coexistence an eligible number keeps the WhatsApp Business app. With Direct Cloud API setup the app is disconnected for that number.
Does BelloSend mark up Meta's message prices?
No. Meta bills its own message fees. BelloSend adds no fee per message.
Do I get the green tick with the API?
Not automatically. Meta decides who gets an Official Business Account. BelloSend cannot guarantee it.
How long does it take to connect the WhatsApp Business API?
With Embedded Signup, most of the work is logging in to Facebook, choosing your business portfolio and verifying the number. The exact time depends on Meta's checks for your business. Once the number is connected, you can sync templates, invite your team and start answering in BelloSend right away.
