WhatsApp API pricing calculator
How much will WhatsApp messages cost you each month? Choose the country of the people you message, the number of WhatsApp numbers you send from and your monthly volume per message type. The WhatsApp API pricing calculator below applies Meta's own USD rates from the Meta rate card effective 1 October 2026.
How to use the WhatsApp pricing calculator
Pick the country
Choose where your customers' phone numbers are from. Meta prices by the recipient's country calling code, not by your own country.
Enter your WhatsApp numbers
Each business phone number gets 1,000 free service messages per month, so the free amount grows with the number count.
Enter monthly volumes
Type how many marketing, utility, authentication and service messages you expect to deliver per month.
Read the estimate
The calculator shows Meta's price per message, the cost per type and the estimated Meta fees per month in USD.
Worked example: a shop messaging Moroccan numbers
One WhatsApp number, rates effective 1 October 2026.
| Message type | Messages per month | Meta price | Cost |
|---|---|---|---|
| Marketing templates | 1,000 | USD 0.0414 | USD 41.40 |
| Utility templates | 2,000 | USD 0.0230 | USD 46.00 |
| Authentication templates | 0 | USD 0.0230 | USD 0.00 |
| Service replies | 3,000 (1,000 free) | USD 0.0230 | USD 46.00 |
| Total Meta fees | USD 133.40 |
How WhatsApp Business API pricing works
Since 1 July 2025 Meta charges per delivered message, by category and market. Marketing, utility and authentication templates can be sent at any time to opted-in contacts. Service messages are the free-form replies inside the 24-hour customer service window.
Since 1 October 2026 service messages are charged again at the market's service rate, which equals the utility rate, after 1,000 free per business phone number per month. Unused free messages do not roll over. Utility templates sent inside an open window are charged again too.
What the calculator does not include
- Volume tiers. Utility and authentication rates drop by 5% to 25% (up to 30% in India) as monthly volume grows, counted per market across your business portfolio. Your bill can be lower than the estimate at high volume.
- Free entry point windows. Conversations started from a Click-to-WhatsApp ad on the Android or iOS app are free for up to 7 days.
- Authentication-international rates, which apply only to very large senders based in another country.
- Meta Business Agent messages, charged at USD 2.00 per million tokens.
- Local currency. Meta bills in your account's currency; this estimate uses the USD rate card.
Tips to lower your Meta fees
- Answer questions in as few clear messages as possible.
- Keep order updates as utility templates, which cost far less than marketing in most markets.
- Send marketing only to engaged, opted-in contacts; unread messages cost the same and hurt your quality rating.
- Use Click-to-WhatsApp ads for acquisition, since those conversations open a free window.
BelloSend adds no per-message fee
Meta bills these fees directly to your account. BelloSend charges one monthly price per workspace, with unlimited contacts and no markup on Meta's rates. Meta may change prices on the first day of any quarter; the next possible change is 1 January 2027.

Frequently asked questions
How accurate is the WhatsApp pricing calculator?
It uses Meta's published USD list rates effective 1 October 2026. Your real bill can be lower because of volume tiers and free ad-click windows.
Why does service cost the same as utility?
On the current rate card, Meta sets the service rate equal to the utility rate in every market.
Do messages my customers send cost anything?
No. Meta only charges for messages a business delivers.
What if I message customers in several countries?
Run the calculator once per country and add the results. Each message is priced by the recipient's market.
Does Meta still charge per conversation?
No. Conversation-based pricing ended on 1 July 2025. Meta now charges for each delivered message, so ten utility messages to the same person cost ten utility charges, unless they fall inside a free entry point window.
Is BelloSend's subscription included in the total?
No. The total is Meta's fees only. BelloSend's plan is a separate flat monthly price per workspace.
